2015 has been a busy year for Practicum Clinical Skills Centre.

Approximately 14 000 students have participated in courses during the year.

2015 was the 10 year anniversary of Practicum, and this has been celebrated by a number of activities and events during the year.

Several new courses have offered during the year including basic surgical skills for gynaecologists as well as a course in laparoscopy for residents in gynaecology.

Furthermore a course in emergency medicine for interns has been implemented during the year. Over 220 interns have taken part in this 2,5 days course which has received very high scores in quality and content by the course participants.

In September Practicum gave a blended instructors course in medical simulation and clinical skills training for the regional area of south of Sweden. The program consisted of lectures from local teachers as well invited key note lectures. Several workshops in advanced clinical skills training and team training was held in the afternoon.

Finally two scientific papers regarding laparoscopic training for surgeons in virtual reality simulators have been written. Both were submitted in abstract format to first NASCE scientific meeting in Istanbul and they have been submitted for publication.
